The NHL have awarded “Three Star” honors to St. Louis Blues forward Vladimir Tarasenko, Detroit Red Wings forward Pavel Datsyuk, and Pittsburgh Penguins goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury.
Tarasenko did it all this week, leading the Blues to three straight wins with five goals, six point, 15 shots and a plus-6 rating.
What can I say about the magic man! Datsyuk can basically do everything, so he scored four goals on 15 shots and notched three assists as the Red Wings collected five of six possible points.
As for Fleury, he recorded three wins and a pair of shutouts, stopping 70 of 73 shots he faced as the Penguins navigated their schedule without a flinch. He became just the second goaltender in franchise history to earn consecutive shutouts.
