After 23 years of waiting, October baseball has returned to Toronto. Some Fans have been waiting what seems a lifetime but those fans got their chance on Thursday.

Gallardo came out for the Rangers to start the series but only pitched 5 innings giving up 4 hits and while giving up 2 runs. Even with a short performance his over powering speed and velocity made it difficult for the Jays bats to get going early.

For The Jays, David Price. With a 1-4 record in the post season so far in his career it may be odd to have so much hope in a player with that post season record but when you remember he was an ace for a young Rays team it starts to become clear.

Price is without a doubt an ace but this wasn't his game. The right handed hitters for the Rangers knew how to hit him but the Rangers have a secret weapon of sorts. Prices former back catcher. When you add that Price came into the game on 11 days rest and you can point out the causes. The bottom of the Rangers line up made themselves known with chirinos and odor each hitting a home run

Donaldson and Bautista were taken out during the game with minor injuries so they will be available to play Friday afternoon in game two.

Game two takes place at 1245 et Friday with Cole Hamels taking the mound for the Rangers and Marcus Stroman for the Jays.
