Raptors will get their hands on Toronto native, former number one draft pick Anthony Bennet. Sources say that he will sign for the league minimum, 1 year.
This off-season shows that the Raptors have been clearly focused on meeting some sort of requirement to boost their front-court depth by signing Luis Scola and Bismack Biyombo.
The deal was sealed officially today, September 27th, where Anthony Bennet instagrammed a picture of himself signing contract papers, while rocking a Raptors hat and Blue Jays sweater.
A mixed reaction flew in through-out Raptor territory, while many have been calling Bennet a bust considering the fact that he hasn't proved himself at all the first two seasons. To be fair, injuries have been holding him back and we still yet have to see Bennet at his fullest. His great playing during the FIBA Americas and Pan Am Games is a good look and should be something the Raptor fanbase will positively consider.
