Your NBA MVP: Stephen Curry

Monday, May 4th, 2015

Professional. NBA All-Star. MVP.

Stephen Curry was named MVP today, well deserved, but some controversy surrounded the topic saying James Harden deserved it more. If he did or didn't, that's a topic for another day. Curry was crowned today, in Oakland where he spoke about everything. His teammates, coaches, friends, family for about an hour.

Curry did many outstanding things this year, being the leader of NBA's best regular season team, leading them in points, steals and assists. Not to mention he set the single record for three-pointers made in a season. He's only the second Golden State Warrior ever to win the award, along with Wilt Chamberlin. Curry led the team to win a franchise record in wins, 67 games. He averaged 23.8 points, 7.7 assists, 2 steals.

Curry won 100 out of 130 votes for the first place vote. 129 of them being sports writers/broadcasters. 1 of them being KIA's NBA fan vote. Behind Curry in the vote was, in order, James Harden with 25 first place votes, LeBron James with 5 first place votes.
