The Raptors are going to need a miracle it seems at this point to advance to the 2nd round of the NBA playoffs.
After losing to the Wizards on Tuesday the Raptors season looks to be on its last breath, with looks of disappointment and disgust on many of the teams players during the 4th quarter.
For two games now the Raptors have let the Wizards dominate them in the 2nd and third quarters. In game 2 the Wizards outscored the Raps 71-44 after doing it in game one 48-33.
Some critics are blaming the teams lack of a killer instinct to keep throwing down on their opponents while other critics believe it's the teams Lack of experience and defense. This writer believes it's a mixture of the two. The team does not have a consistent player who other teams have to watch out for and the team is most definitely lacking experience in the playoffs but that's not something that cannot often be bought.
This team will either develope experience through series like these and get better or they will be repeatedly a one and done team come playoff time. Something dramatic will have to happen and their two leaders (DeMar Derozan and Kyle Lowry) will have to wake up from their slumbers and put this team and the hopes of the nation on its back and fight back to take the next two games in Washington.
Here's hoping they can.
