It's been the waiting game for Raptor fans, but the day has finally come. It's been about 2 months since DeMar last touched the floor and he exceeded expectations. Two minutes into the game, on his second attempt, about 16ft out, he nailed his first bucket of the game. Didn't that one feel great? Raptor all-star DeMar DeRozan put up 20 points, helping the Raptors hold on to a win against the Philadelphia 76ers, 100-84. Coming back from a groin injury, you'd think he would show some rust but it looks like hard-work payed off in his absence and he showed his regular star self.
DeMar Derzozan's cute little daughter was in attendance for the game, wearing a Raptor jersey with the name "Mini DeRozan" on the back.
Kyle Lowry earned himself another double-double tonight, scoring 18 points and assisting 12 times, Lou Williams ended the game with 19 points, once again bringing a fantastic spark off of the bench.
Toronto held on to as much as a 16 point lead, but right before the half, 76ers surged and brought it back to a 2 point game. Mainly the whole 4th quarter was a 10 point lead for the Raptors after Kyle Lowry splashed 2 consecutive three-pointers and sealed the deal where they were up by 18.
Reporters asked DeMar how his condition felt after the game and he answered "Better than I thought it would, I thought I would be out there huffin 'nd puffin a couple times up and down, but I felt good".
Toronto Raptors take on the Atlanta Hawks in a statement game on Friday.
