Carmelo Anthony passes the 20,000th career point mark to join the incredible 20k club.
Carmelo has always been known for his offensive game, mainly his mid-three point range shooting. He is only the 40th player in NBA history to achieve this goal, and he’s only 30 years old. He is the 6th youngest (LeBron the youngest) to reach this mark and will probably end up a lot higher than he currently is whenever he retires, quite possibly top 10.
People have been criticizing Caremlo’s game quite consistently for not being able to go deep in the playoffs, but you can’t take away his offensive skill. New York came off beating the hyped Cleveland Cavaliers for their first game of the season where Carmelo put up 25 for a great upset.
The Knicks came off with a 96-93 win against the New Orleans Pelicans tonight, Anthony scoring 22 points on 12/22 shooting, alongside Shumpert scoring 15 points and Stoudamire earning himself a double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds off of an impressive 7-13 FG attempts.
